Help me to set up airtel modem as range extender

Hello guys
I have upgraded my airtel connection to fibre and I have been provided Nokia white router. This modem has very poor range. Now I want to extend WIFI range by connecting my other modem airtel Huawei hg633. but when I connect both the modems with LAN cable the Huawei modem sends the signal to NOkia modem instead of Nokia modem sending signal to Huawei modem. I know this because when I am connected to Nokia modem and visit 192.168.1.1 the page of huawei modem opens.

Guys please suggest me solution on how to use huawei modem as range extender with lan or wifi connection between both modems? Thanks

Disable DHCP on Huawei modem and connect it with lan on lan port not wan port. And check.

@amansingh you need to set 1 router (the Huawei) as a repeater and the Nokia as the master. I am not sure if these ISP supplied ONT routers have this functionality. If this is not possible use a LAN cable and plug the Huawei's LAN port into the Nokia LAN port. Switch off DHCP on the Huawei and make sure you change the IP address on this router as well to a value that is incremented up or down from the Nokia;s value. Use the same subnet mask as well.

Repeater doesn't need any network configuration because it's not doing anything. You don't need to give it an IP.

are repeaters different from access points? because i have ips assigned to them on my network

They are Access Points. Why do they need an IP?

@wheatbread both APs and Repeaters require an IP address on the network. I have and still use both across my home.

They don't "need" it. I have two TP-Link configured as AP only with DHCP disabled and no static IP configured. It doesn't need it to serve it's purpose.
I know some manufacturers' firmware are configured to require otherwise it won't do anything but TP-Link isn't one of them.

Nope. Just bunch of Access Points with same configuration and 802.11r and k enabled where ever I could (doesn't really work on my phone but works for some).
