This is the latest result, but just about 10 mins back the d/l was only 356 kb/s (???)...

I have enabled only GDMT/T413/Glite bitswap (rest unchecked) and have also downloaded the Dr.TCP patch. All the values to default except RWIN which I kept at 19745 (since i did not know what to input, i chose a random number)... I did not understand the formula for calculating the RWIN ("advertised speed" in K or M ??? for PLAN 500).

All phones connected after splitter.. I must confess that the splitter is very far from the modem !!!! (since the BSNL line has to be patched into our office PBX and I live about 50 mtrs from the office, I have extended the ADSL port of the splitter through a pair of twisted & shielded copper cable) May be this is the problem !!!

Question : this cable ( 2 or 4 or 8 wires?)
Suggestion :.Use a two wire Rj11 telephone cable
from main Telephone junction ,
( or from PABX Junction )
for 50 meters to connect to modem .
( Presume you use your computer, at HOME after office hours .
Also confirm no computers in use in the OFFICE.
Since you have kept the ADSL splitter in office BB used in office too, I presume. ).

Condition1.
Do you have a Phone junction point in your House
(BEFORE the ADSL filter)
You can connect RJ11 to modem DIRECTLY.

Condition 2 :
AFTER the ADSL filter .
DATA signals will be degraded.
if Rj11 connected to modem directly.

Condition 3.
No Phone junction in the house.
Run RJ45 ( 8 wires) cable of required length for 50 meters. from ADSL Modem port
or RJ11 ( two wires) from main Telephone junction in Office. ( cheap cost )
.

Main Idea:No attenuating filters from BSNL Telephone Junction to modem.
ADSL splitter mainly to block data signal in telephone/s.

The U/G BSNL cable comes directly to our office PABX, where the splitter is introduced just before patching into the CO lines. There are no PC's connected in the office. Since, I do not need the telephone, I have only taken the ADSL line upto my residence through a pair of copper lines and connected it to my modem's RJ11 port. There are no parallel telephones before the splitter. I thought it would be cheaper to run a copper pair instead of a ethernet cable.
