Hey guys,I wanted to make my Reliance cable broadband a Wi-Fi thingy.1) i've had a BSNL Wi-Fi modem [White colour wala] which uses the Rj-11 cable (Phone cable) and has a wifi cababilityIs there anyway i can connect my Ril BB with that Wi-Fi modem? because reliance gave me connection with direct Rj-45 [Lan cable] and a crap router which is of no use other than the landline so i've kept it as a showpiece and connected the Lan cable [Rj-45] coming directly from the D.P [Node]2) I used connectify to share my Ril BB connection on Win7 Home Premium and it set up fine and perfect but when i tried connecting that connection on my iPhone 4 and N96 it always shows Connecting Connecting.. But never connects to the internet that means i cannot use internet on my devices but i can just rather connect to connectify and then shagg :\P.S : I've an Alienware M17x so don't gimmy that crap, about my wi-fi adapter make model n things its gon' be the Top Nortch and supportable.EXPECTING A REPLY ASAP! Thanx in advance.

Before i mention anything, let me tell u that i am not used to these stuff. But if i was in ur place, i will ask the local engineer to see if that particular Router works with Reliance or not. They dont provide u with a router, unless u ask for a phone line as well. So its totally ur choice to select a router if u feel its need. Reliance people wont object to it.So u simply need to ask the person there whether the router works or not.PS: Others might tell u different ways, ie, without having to ask the engineer.

Just get a normal WiFi router not a ADSL one and use it it works great see the video I made for some tweaks that you need to make at times to make it work with reliance - ‪Reliance broadband with WiFi Router‬‏

I suggest people not to go with the ADSL WiFi router as need to tinker around a lot with ADSL version and there is no guarantee that it will work with reliance and reliance already provides you with a ADSL router and if you have metro Ethernet connection the ADSL wifi router will not work, hence going for a ordinary WiFi router with a WAN port works the best and is future proof as it will work with any internet connection most of the new providers are providing connection directly via ethernet and it would work with a ordinary WAN port WiFi router, my suggestion if you are going for a new router choose between Asus, Linksys and Netgear (I have personally not used netgear but heard good things about the same).

if you are using the BSNL ADSL router then you would need to change the VCI / VPI values in the modem to 0 & 35 and give it a try.

This is actually helpful to me as well, in case i want to wifi my connection.

Nope. My connection is not affixed to any particular router's mac id. its legid that i use it with any router. Please tell me the procedure to use my Ethernet Broadband connexion with ADSL WiFi Modem+Router :| PLEASE!

Now i dont understand the case. But if spoofing is involved, i guess better not to do that. Few of us here know that 2-3 months back we had a guy whose brother was caught spoofing - although case was somewhat different.
