Friends... Although a comp engg, but i am still new to broadband. this is my 1st xp. I just planned to go broadband with BSNL through wi-fi. and found out that either we can use BSNL provided modems OR our own purchased. Please suggest me regarding this.. what is the best practice. Just read in a few threads that D-Link, Netgear etc is better that bsnl modems... why so? does bsnl have lesser range or doesn't follow the best standards (like IEEE 802.11g) or breaks occasionally???different modems shuold not have different ranges in my opinion if they follow the same standard and frequency. In my case range is very important as if i place the modem in centre of my house it must cover a floor above, a floor below and a span of approx 30m radius.Leave the above crap, BOTTOM LINE is ---> Please suggest me the method of getting the best out of wifi broadband! Thanks!
