@!!..PD..!! most of time its fine, just once in a while it happens.
was roughly testing today, one 4k video, 1 download, g-meet, yt-shorts no buffering on any of the device. that was non-peak hours.
ping spikes happened but no visible buffering
I think it's fine if it only happens once in a while. BSNL does suck sometimes but so do other ISPs. Latency increases once in a while and it's not that big a deal.
I don't think BSNL will work as good as airtel when it comes to bufferbloat but it's fine if you can make it work on openwrt supported routers (budget friendly).
Not many people care about latency and hence the situation we have. Even Jio fiber doesn't care about bufferbloat. It's been like that since the launch and still no end to it in sight.
On the bright side we can manage our connection by ourselves and plug whatever devices we want to use by setting up ONT in bridge. We get public ipv4 at many locations. Some unfortunate cities do have CGNAT like chennai and bangalore but compared to them we got way more places with public ip.
It's more true internet compared to other ISPs and we don't even need to pay for a static IP.
