Don’t know if its location specific or gateway issue. I observed that after airtel moved to cg-nat , i am getting high ping to gateway ip sometimes like 30 ms or 50ms.
following are the steps done:
1. Power on the router, got pppoe connection after that when i pinged gateway i got 30-50ms latency to that.
2. Disconnected pppoe and then connected again, still getting high latency.
3. performed step 2 again, now gateway ping is 2-3 ms and remains consistent till I disconnect again.
4. after disconnecting i have to perform step 2 multiple times to get good gateway latency.
Tried with both Nokia router and TP-Link bridge mode. Same issue.
also tried with my brothers connection and is same.
it seems that cg-nat is assigning different locations gateways internally .
can someone from Chandigarh share their gateway ping ?
