the brand intends to launch a comprehensive product ecosystem, with a range of products such as tablets, feature phones, and IoT devices. Apparently, these HMD-branded products will be priced in different price segments, distinguishing them from the Nokia product line.
Hopefully they don't end up like Realme :)

If they can take a cue from Motorola, Nothing and provide timely updates, features at a competitive pricing while also maintaining QC, I can see some future for this brand.

I already had a Nokia 7+ and majority of the devices were plagued with charging port issues. They certainly threw the Quality Control out of the window for a phone which cost me around 20k in 2017.

I see Nokia branded phones had low VFM, like poor processor, display compared to similar priced Chinese branded phones. But we know Chinese branded (or even Samsung M series) recover costs through ads and preinstalled bloatware which are not present in Nokia phones.
Motorola is doing good in that terms, and their specs are improving recently.

Any phone, when it comes to longevity, must provide timely or provide software updates to resolve the bugs and security updates. Motorola clearly fails there.
I have Moto Edge 20 Fusion and we have not yet received A13 update despite assured by the company. Netflix support for HDR disappeared after updating to A12 with no resolution in sight.
