home 900 issue-plzz help

hi i am usin home 900 unlimted 256kb plantin is i keep ma system on most of the time(sometin is always seeded or leached on ma system)wat i really want to know if there is a way i can remove the user name password dialin on ma system as sometime ma system gets dc at nite and everytin pauses p.s i am usin Huawei quidway wa1003a modem

first of all, you can type full and proper sentences and words. no use using SMS typing to save a few bytes since you are on the unlimited plan.now to try to answer your question (if i read the SMS lingo correctly), is that you can enable a firewall and open only the ports your need (torrents etc), and also set your modem to do PPPoE dialling rather than bridged mode...ps:... you are misspelling "my" as "ma"

oh i am sorryall i really want to know is if i can remove the dial up connection which is needed to connect to internet so i am connected to internet always (i.e when my system is turned on )

are you able to get to your modem's web configuration page at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 ? i hope this is the same for your model...there you can provide your username/password for PPPoE mode and set your PC to "automatically obtain IP address"... maybe someone else can post details...

thank you man these ip address did not work 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 i actually tried http://10.240.43.216 and it worked but tis page is not accepting my user name and password

Open the modem page select PPP/PPPoE .
Enter your User ID without @ dataone.in or @ bsnl.in and password
Enable "always on"
Save and reboot. Wait for 2 or three minutes.
Check in the night your torrent sites .
IF Now more problems about portforwarding. !
