Non-members mean everyone in all Netflix territories - U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Latin America, Brazil and the Nordics. It does not mean there's a free version. They have just made the first episode available for free to everyone in the said locations. Paying subscribers will have access to all 13 episodes right now.

:chargrined:i must be an idiot. i still am not getting what you are saying :D are you trying to say that US subscribers have access to all the episodes of the first season. but only the first episode is available in other territories? as you said netflix does not have a free version. i believe that applies to all the territories they support. so what exactly do you mean by first episode is now free to everyone in said locations?

I am saying:1. All subscribers in all the territories where Netflix is available have access to all 13 episodes of the first season right now.2. The first episode is available to just about every Tom, Dick and Harry in the Netflix territories.

from the trailer... we have another show based on the POTUS? awesome.

2. The first episode is available to just about every Tom, Dick and Harry in the Netflix territories.

and how do they access it? netflix website and apps? no subscriptions required? just like the HULU version of HULU (and not HULU PLUS)? that's cool i suppose? so this is the only content available through Netflix for non-paying users?

Err.. but where is it (first episode) available?

the only thing you can do from the home page is to sign up

Scandal should not be mentioned in the same line with House of Cards.

HoC is more like Boss, but better. Kevin Spacey is awesome and I like Kate Mara.

Err.. but where is it (first episode) available?
At Netflix.com/HouseofCards.

righto. looks more like boss than scandal or 1600 penn or the west wing :D and the female lead was in Forrest Gump. and yeap, i like kate mara too.

about the first episode... are they going to release all episodes in a phased manner like it happens on television? or is this just a teaser to get people to subscribe to netflix?
