I have lost access to my old accs here so don't remember exactly when I joined here, probably in 2013-14 for some mtnl modem settings.

Before mtnl all internet plans (data card, wisp) I used had FUP and mtnl was 512 kbps unlimited then there was some promo offer so I upgraded to 2mbps with FUP but upload was still 512kbps which sucked. I avoided getting mtnl for many years because it was sarkari and experience with their telephone services was not very encouraging.

To download large files I had to keep my pc on overnight and in morning it failed or setup was corrupted IDM was a blessing for pausing downloads. Real debrid still exist but then it was really necessary to download file from slow file hoster.

I joined back in 2005 IIRC right after getting BSNL "DataOne" broadband ADSL 512kbps unlimited connection I did a search for "india broadband" and landed here.

Can't believe it's nearly 15 years now since that time!

Darn mahn 15 yrs... Behind this blog... You need to wake up and go get a life outside.

Just kidding people like you and lot of others have helped lot of noobs like me in clearing out lot of doubts and trying new things. Thankx for being there for US

I guess this is a forum where like minded people (as far as I have seen) share thier experience for the betterment of humanity. Have rarely seen any hatred over here, which to be honest is very rare when Indians are involved .
Wish this gets big and get lot of people involved in it in future.
I hope it doesn't gets to be like twitter/reddit where baseless politics and religious fanatics comes out to express thier views.
Kudos to moderators for maintaining it.

I came here in July 2016 when I was looking for a way to get a free Jio Sim. They were not issuing sims for iPhone and the members here were kind enough to help me find a way through the sales rep to get a sim. I finally got one :-D

@Ameen thats the difference niche forums and reddit like broad forums. It doesn't attract a lot of trolls if you are not interested in a niche then you won't join it. And ultimately mods keep it clean. Even in really niche reddit forums trolling is not allowed.

Oh there were trolls here too only thing in those days they would have been called 'ill mannered louts' & would have got as good as they gave. . Plus the an odd feku preening around like a peacock till his feathers were pulled out then they would do the disappearing act.

I was mod of some forums and started my own one, those trolls are different and very dedicated they would keep coming up with new ids and some would hold grudge, then try to hack sites, ddos attacks if there was a group of trolls they would open a rival forum . Some forums exist to discuss drama of others.

It was fun though

Ultimately in the long run to build credibility one has to be calm, polite & logical. The shrill stuf nay give cheap thrills to some but it's basically considered v juvenile & best ignored.
