Hi, I have Bsnl broadband connection and i m using bsnl type 2 modem which is WIFI enabled modem. But i have connected the modem to my desktop PC using ethernet and telephone cable and I would use WIFI only when i get my friend's laptop (hardly twice or thrice a month). So i just use wired connection to use internet. Now that there are chances that my WIFI network can be hacked, I want to make my network more secure.I don't want anybody to detect my WIFI signal when i m not using WIFI. So how do i disable the SSID from being broadcasted ?If i have to use WIFI I want to have strong secure key to be used. How do i change the network access key and which encryption should i use WEP or WPA to protect the key from being hacked ? Also i need some tips for having good secure network access key.Thank you.
