How do I use Google Voice credits on my Android phone? :D

I purchased some credit to make calls on the computer. Realized that calling on the computer is not as fun as calling from the phone.

I too bought some credit that is still with me. From what I know you will need to register for Google voice using either a VPN or with the help of a friend in US. I know of a thread in another forum that doscussed this a couple of years ago. If I find the link will dm you.

Also. Don't try sending sms from Google. I was charged 10bucks for 2 sms that were never delivered.

hehe. i would not. it is still confusing. US version of Google Voice is totally different from our version. I wonder why Google does not offer a SIP (?) platform so that we can just connect it properly on the Android device with no workaround (VPN etc). they have the technology. they are offering it on the desktop. so what is stopping them from offering it on the phone. in any case, isd still turns out to be cheaper than using google voice/skype for calls to nepal...

Nepal would be different but for most of Europe and Americas, Google voice has good pricing.

yup. skype and google voice costs around 10 rupees per minute. isd costs the same. but with some topup plan, it gets down to 7.5 bucks.
