Jio Fiber. FTTH
I have 2 tv's, I already have a bronze plan of jio fiber. Does any have any knowledge or experience on how jio treats this? Do we require 2 fiber connections? Or do they allow 2 stb on 1 net connection? I am asking here because if I ask jio I will get pestered by some joker giving a lot of bull. I am still in the window shopping stage. Because of Airtel STB error code 1 'Please insert view card' | Airtel Digital TV DTH

I had asked this to the Jio installation guys, they said you will have to buy the STB at non discounted price (they said it will cost 3000, though the MRP on the box is 6000). You can watch the Live TV (which hasn't come yet) and others on it. (basically as the others has said except Hotstar Vip, everything should run fine).

If Live TV gives all channels properly it should be quite good as local cable connection, if you can ignore the OTTs. Jio's LiveTV might make the difference from having a MiTV or FireTV and instead go for Jio STB for many households.

I personally believe having a separate unlocked device is a better option though.

Jio used to have an excellent JioTV app which worked on Android TV/FireTV stick (after sideloading) and gave almost all channels (except Hotstar's) in pristine quality. Then, about 1.5-2 years back, they just stopped access to it.

In my opinion, that app, if brought back on the STB, would be the only reason to use Jio STB over an unlocked Android TV box or FireTV stick.

As a replacement for cable tv, jio STB is better than fire tv stick because of the jio tv+ app.
But if fire tv incorporates sports channels and hotstar channels under its new Live tab, it will become the right choice

Is it possible to use all OTT subscriptions on devices not on Jio network/on different JioFiber connection ?(within the screen limits)

Refer this thread for the details of all the apps that can be accessed outside the Jio STB.
