I just heard about this plan yesterday. I'll wait and watch.
well my experience has been largely positive. and their plans are still much much better than airtel :D
Not on all circles. The Rs. 2150 plan you are using now offers 100GB @1mbps in Chennai. Two reasons I'm still sticking with Airtel are:
1. Stability of connection and good service, touch wood.
2. Better plans than BSNL.

Count me in if things are smooth :)
That's the same old Reliance...what smooth do u expect from them?

Airtel "thinks" itself as elite brand. So it never will reduce price. Its price will always be bit higher.

I have had enough headache with Reliance in the past. For me the most important thing is 95% uptime connection, which Reliance lacks. Every month I had to call them up to rectify the billing errors.Am ready to pay a premium to Airtel because they have >95% uptime most of the time.

I remember the time I was using Sify Broadband in 2004. I had to call the cable operator few times a day because the switch will hang somewhere. It was a nightmare. Before that, I was on dial-up. That was a different type of nightmare. The sound od the modem getting connected to BSNL/VSNL servers is still ringing in my ears.Only when BSNL introduced Rs. 500-256kbps plan in January 2005, connections started to become stable. Then, I moved to Airtel and I'll have to say that I've experienced 99% uptime in the last 7 years, touch wood.

Well...I prefer peace of mind over anything else.Although I get only 10 GB @2mbps for 550/-, but the experience with airtel BB is very very nice. no downtime since I am using it, consistent speed.I never need to contact Airtel BB except setting up my router. Although I have to adjust myself to use 10GB for 30 days.and yes I forget to mention experience with Reliance comm. they have worst management, I have ever seen. CC guys dont have info about things we all know. website get updated but no info available with CC.

If they are ready to provide connection to me I am willing to give them a shot. I have seen on the net that there are scripts for dd-wrt based routers that handle the login stuff for you so that is not a problem for me.I am so frustrated with Airtel that I once got my connection disconnected to try some other ISP but only BSNL and Tikona have the feasibility to provide connection to our apartment. I tried both of them and returned back to Airtel.Reliance is so complacent that I do not think they need customers they have a box just across the street but they are saying they can not provide connection to my side of the lane. Now as Hayai is almost dead Beam is my hope for a decent internet connection.
