Actually what was GH
GH=Golden Hour
A phenomenon in a time when the server stood still while u downloaded. Basically free surfing time.
But that was hunted, exterminated and wiped off the face of the earth by the ruthless MTNL org

GH was available years ago when triband was new.
they slowly phased it out from Mumbai and delhi both places
No no one has it, and to make matters worse they have started adding back dated entries from this month

hello guys I'm frm mumbai & using D-Link GLB 502t modem (earlier I had rented D link DSL 502t from MTNL )I'm using MTNL broadband since may 2005 & I get a download speed of 25-26 KBps. On last sunday I got a surprise of my life when I went to my neighbour to format his PC .While downloading drivers from Intel's website I found out that he has 2-3 times net speed than mine. The 20mb file was downloaded in 3 - 5 mins which takes around 12 min in my PC.he has the basic plan & a white coloured plastic body modem starting with the letter "M" I guess(could not find out the brand) he was also using INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER please guys help me to achieve that speed. can I tweak my modem settings??How can I increase the download speed ??I even tried with INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER 5.12 but failed :wall: I'm really confused 
how can this happen ?? or should I complain it to my exchange please help

dude, check ur neighbours plan?? the modem/router wont make any difference in ur speeds..IDM wont help much at the bandwith which u get.no tweak in modem will make much difference,only TWEAK been the bridge mode instead of pppoe mode as it gives more stable and infrequent disconnects compared to pppoe mode.

I 've 849 NU plan so what is the expected speed for this plan??
I get 25- 26 KBps (stable)for downloading & my neighbour has 399 plan & has take the connection hardly 1 yr back
On june 13th I bought my own modem i.e D-Link GLB 502t & since then sometimes I can achieve upto 32 - 34 KBps but only for a short while.
When MTNL launched triband in may 2005 they were offering 256 speed latter around 1& half or 2 yrs back they announced 2mbps speed but I'm not getting that speed.
Since may 2005 I shifted to many plans
Initially plan 399 with 400MB data then plan 590 NU 750 mb data then when they increased the data limit I shifted to Plan 200TriB with 400mb data then again back to 399 plan with 700MB data & finally this year to 849 NU with 1.25 GB data.
Is my speed OK or should I complain to MTNL?? OR is it because of shifting to many plans??
