I want to ask....
" how to change MTU value in the SIEMENS SL2_141 wireless type II modem/router.......

i have gone to
http://192.168.1.1/main.html

but couldn't find where and how to change in the router homepage...

I know how to change in my pc.....but i read in the manual of the modem that it's default MTU is 1492.....but the one set by me for the pc is
1454 which is the best for my connection(pppoe).........

so i want to set the MTU both of the router/modem and my pc at the same value........now can someone help...........

reading the manual doesn't help........as BSNL has completely changed the
homepage of the router and even the appearance of the router has been
changed from black to blue/white........

so.......does someone know d solution?

ok...........the screenshot is identical to the page of my modem........anywayz thanx..........but i read the manual of SL2_141 modem.....and they said that MTU can be changed......BSNL must have changed it so that users cant access.....There's no other reason.i could find............

BSNL must have changed it
I will read the manual and update later.
UnlikelyBSNL has made any changes. ( they don't manufacture modems/routers. They call for tenders and the lowest quotation gets an order for say 1 million units. And this modem is almost identical to Beetel modems. 440BX. )If I remember correctly ,you, could access Port Forwardwith the same complaint. ( earlier telnet/hyperterminal etc were suggested )

ya
ur right
until u said that there's
an url
like......

http://192.168.1.1/main.html

there was nothing called advanced options in

http://192.168.1.1

and none knew that an url like that existed( i mean the first url)

so i forwarded the ports via hyperterminal........

well thanx.........but the screenshots of the modem pages as given by siemens doesn't even come close to the ones given by BSNL

so............they must have did something to the router page........

if u want i can upload some screenshots to prove my point.

This is the page from the manual. MTU can be selected.
.
Post the screenshot of the SAME WAN page .

there's no page identical to the one you gave so........
I'm providing snapshots of all the pages that one goes through
for setting up a connection....

and going to

http://192.168.1.1/main.html doesn't help either..

@ridam
I have already listed your model and it is same like Beetel 220BX or 440BX.
