How to connect two computers on a siemens C2110 modem/router

I want to connect 2 computers with this modem and i have a ethernet and usb port (alongwith their cables, drivers also installed) now how can i connect both computers using this equipments please reply asap ( I need only file sharing and my my one computer doesn't recognise the other when both are connected by usb and ethernet on the same modem) i have windiws Vista Ultimate on one laptop and the pc has Xp Sp2(Step by step details would be appreciated) I have connected both but none of the computers show the discovery of anyother device

in windows vista in TCP/IP properties of LAN disable IPv6(on by default)& use IPv4.unless you use IPv4 windows vista won't recognize a XP PC over LAN because XP don't support IPv6.

@soumendra_jena,as far as i know BSNL EVDO uses shared proxy meaning that all the IP address of EVDO cards are distributed by a single server in that area.it is just like using a router to distribute connection among various computers by giving them different internal IP's(like 10.x.x.x,192.168.x.x).so if any user is downloading from,say,link-removed,link-removed will see the IP of server only so changing the static IP of your EVDO card doesn't matter because server IP will remain same.you can check it by seeing your actual IP address at sites like What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Info, Speed Test, and more which will show you an IP different from the IP of your EVDO card.

Hai there,After connecting both the PC via modem, turnoff the default or any firewall on both computers{I think you know how to do this} and then check if file sharing{Will work as i have tried this earlier} works.
