How to disable SSID-2 www.excitel.com on Excitel Fiber Routers?

Hi,

I just got Excitel Fiber. But I was surprised to see a 3rd SSID www.excitel.com being shown. I cannot see any option how to disable it. Does any one aware of the same.

I mean if it's just disabled you need even need to go into the config file. Just inspect element that field and remove the disabled HTML tag, edit whatever you need, and hit save, it should do the trick.

Even if you remove the Disable HTML tag through inspector, somehow the form submit button doesn't work on that page.

There's telnet working. Was able to log in using excitel:exc@123. Seems like some kind of linux.

Is it like a public open SSID? Like no password connect leading to a free trial sign up and use page?

Or is it like a dummy SSID just to broadcast excitel name and can't be connected to or doesn't provide any internet?

What happens in bridge mode? Does it still broadcast that?

I thought so too. In my area I see this SSID all the time when I'm scanning networks lol

I got the 5.0 Ghz router/onu from excitel and it is also giving 3 SSID's, One is 2.4 , one 5.0 for which I changed SSID names, third one is www.excitel.com name SSID. It's not hidden, just showing up. I am inside the router , not sure how to stop it. Don't even know the password.

Excitel gave me richerlink RL821GWV-D this router/onu. These people have locked the router and not even giving the option to disable that SSID 2. The Interface of this router is different from the one on the videos. Interestingly excitel has even blocked the manufacturer website richerlink.com.

I have just recently moved in here. I will be making the ONU only for ethernet only(so much for paying 2k) and connect an AX router with it. Wiring is going on in my house so depending on the one provided by excitel.

CoZ dumb devices or non wifi onus are not available easily due to this india china thing. One has to wait for a long time. I waited for more than 2 months. Rest it depends from location to location at least in delhi dumb onus are very difficult to find.
