How to extend wifi range of utstarcom wa3002g4

Hi friendsi have gone thru lot of posts on lot of web site. I have got a very simple & basic problem. I've got a bsnl provided utstarcom wa3002g4 adsl modem router, which is connected to my desktop by ethernet & i use wifi facility on my laptop for accessing net/ lan. (pppoe mode, wpa psk).However on my first floor i have got wifi signal problem. (adsl modem router is on g.f.), what to do now. I can not move my utstarcom thing and need 100% wireless solution.I called some guy for this, he spent 8 hrs configuring D-Link 2100 ap in repeater mode & ultimately left saying that it can not be done.Kindly provide me some detailed solution with some compatible hardware with brand/ model.Thanks in advance, hope for an early response.Regards

From UTSTAR WA3002-G4 lan1 port take a RJ45 connection to to D-Link (dcs)2100 wan or Internet port.Place the router (dlink) in First floor.presume you have installation cd for dlink unit.

Thanks essbebeyup u r true, it was working in access point mode (2100ap) with lan cord. But i can not use a cable due to space restrictions. And also it should ideally work witout cable in repeater mode.

NOT POSSIBLE.

option 1;
You can run rj11 cable from ground floor to First floor
and position the
Ut3002-G4 there , near a window. or add an additional booster Antenna.
try reception in ground floor.
option 2:
Or keep in GF the modem near the window . or add an additional booster
antenna.

OPtion3:
WAG3002-g4 Lan to WAN port of D-Link (dcs)2100
Reposition Dlink unit for max signal pick up in first floor.

That means there is no way that i can use another access point / router/ any other device, to extend the wi fi range, which would speak to ut3002g4 wirelessly????

D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G DWL-2100AP as a Repeater
It is recommended to make a direct wired connection from your pc to DWL-2100AP.
Range
Indoors: 328' (100 meters)
Outdoors: 1312' (400 meters)

Para two:
Confirm D-Link (dcs)2100 you have is a wireless Camera.
When you use an WIFI AP router the other unit also
must have the AP option.
Seems wa3002G4 does not have this option.

2100ap was costing around rs 3800.00 ; cudnt get 'wireless camera'.

Wa3002g4 does have an access point & another bridge option, which i suppose is similar to wds..

Please post screen sot of Ut3002-G4 router settings
showing Access point option.
I checked the specifications and it is not listed.

As the D-Link number given by you was incomplete,
after google search I selected dcs 2100. Ignore it.

If Both have AP access , thanks to @ superprash2003
you can have link.
. Problem could be No "Line of sight " free access, due to
obstructions. ( vertical access from closed rooms )
