Hi....I am a serious downloader....I was using the airtel plan turbo 1299 (512 kbps during day and 1mbps during night) and was quite happy with it. Then one day I recieve call telling dedicated speeds of 4mbps for 25 gb and 256 kbps after that and decided to give it a try. However later when i wanted to switch back to my previous plan, to my horror all unlimited plans with dedicated speeds were withdrawn. WTF!!!!This is what I did to get the plan back:1. Call up customer care, tell them that you want this particular plan. They will say the plan is no longer available.2. You tell them the name of your friend who still has that plan. They will say that is only for those people who had them previously.3. You tell them that either give me this plan or disconnect my DSL services.4. They will take a complaint for disconnection.5. The complaint is passed on to a senior person, who then calls you to know the reason for this.6. Explain them that you are not happy with the fcking fair usage policy.7. They will ask you if you are willing to continue if given the requested plan. If you still want to continue with airtel, go ahead and confirm. ~~ This is a bit risky if you lik airtel services, as there is no guarantee that they will roll back the plan. But if you are fed up and actually are considering changing the ISP, its the last chance given to airtel as was my case.Regardsnazgul

so basically you have to take a chance with the retention department. old trick but more or less worth the risk.

between have u tried evdo from bsnl do we have any tower here if we in range it looks gud bcoz speed stays gud around 150kb in night for 750+tax

In my case too a threat to disconnect the connection put some sense into their minds, and they reverted the FUP. Heck. I am getting double speeds also now (double of what I am supposed to be getting) :P

i would be making that call the day FUP hits my connection.

Same with me. Not going to change my plan unless FUP is removed either.
