Does anyone know how to change monthly plan to annual on selfcare portal and get the 25% cash back with annual plan? Has anyone tried it?

Here s how you can avail the offer on your BSNL broadband connection:

Click on the banner showing the 25 per cent offer on BSNL broadband website and agree to the terms and conditions
Following this process, an online booking portal will open where the customer needs to enter the service ID for landline, broadband, or Bharat Fiber, followed by a CAPTCHA
An OTP will be sent to customer s mobile number registered with the service. Enter the OTP and click on Validate
The website will show the details of the plan currently subscribed along with the tenure. The customer needs to verify the details
If the customer wants to avail the 25 per cent cashback offer, the existing plan will need to be switched to the one with an annual validity
After a successful transaction for an annual plan, a cashback of 25 per cent will be credited to customer s broadband account

this does not work?

Cash back will be given as credit to customer account once the invoice in which annual plan is billed, is paid by the customer. This amount can be used by customer for availing more services from BSNL or payment of future bills.

i am not sure if this is even a good idea. prepay for one year. and then use the cashback for paying for more time.

You need to use this portal -- BSNL CUSTOMER CARE

Once you complete the process, a service request is created to change your plan to annual, which gets processed in a day or two. Your next bill would have the annual plan amount due, once paid, you'd get the 25% credit. Please note that this is exclusive of the GST.

The link I posted above is to a special page and not the usual self-care portal page. You need to drag that "25% Cashback offer" popup window up and click "Avail Cashback Scheme"

After that you'd be redirected to another page where you can enter your BSNL number, validate the OTP and switch the plan.

So this didn't work out as I had hoped, they billed me for Rs 777 x 12 ie Rs 9324 instead of Rs 7770 as mentioned on their site for the FTTH 500 GB plan. I have registered a complaint, hopefully it can be fixed.
