how to increase firmwares speed from 2mbps to 24 mbps?

i have a beetel 220bx modem with the firmware vr 16.i have seen users posting dl speed of upto 17mbps. mineis locked at 2500 download and 576 upload.my plan is 699ul but sometimes i get 2mbps.
 
That is the line rate of the modem, set at the DSLAM by Airtel, you can't change that yourself.
 
yes exactly!! whats the use of changing the firmware speed when DSLAM has synced u to 2.5mbps:confused::confused:
 
Loads of illusions in posts... i myself created a few. No one gets faster than 2mbps / 8mbps. Its easy to manipulate the test results.:)
