how to remove pop up

Is there any way to remove the pop up that appears when i connect to dataone.

open Start menu select RUN type gpedit.msc. you will get a Group policy window.in that leftside bar select the below order.Select user configuration - > administrative template -> start menu and taskbar and then configure Remove Ballon tips at the righthand side.double click enable it.just logoff once.Your done.

I tried whatever you said and enabled this "Remove balloon on start menu items" Still now the pop up is appearing when i connect to dataone.

the setting mentioned only apply to start menu items.connections,removable drives etc. don't come under this category.

Thanks a lot, Tune up utilties solved my problem.Under tune up system control> Taskbar > Advanced and i unchecked show balloons in notification area.
