How to Replace Jio Air Fiber Router with Custom TP-Link Router for Better Control?

Hi everyone,

I got Jio Air Fiber installed 3 months ago, but the service has been quite disappointing. The internet frequently slows down to the point where nothing loads, and often it displays "No internet." As a trader and web developer, this is highly problematic, especially during critical stock market trades where every moment counts. I've had instances where my internet went down mid-trade, leaving me unsure of the outcome and unable to exit the trade.

I want to replace the default Jio Air Fiber router with a custom TP-Link router to gain more control over bandwidth, custom DNS settings, and other features. Could anyone guide me on how to set this up? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

सीधी भाषा में बोलूं तो मुझे जिओ एयरफाइबर का जो राऊटर है, उसकी जगह अपना टीपी लिंक का राऊटर प्रयोग करना चाहता हूँ। लेकिन उसके लिए स्टैटिक आईपी, और गेटवे, इत्यादि की सेटिंग्स मालूम नहीं है। अगर किसी भाई-बहन ने थर्ड पार्टी राऊटर जिओ एयर फाइबर के साथ चलाया है तो कृपा करके सेटिंग शेयर करें।

और हाँ भूल कर भी जिओ मत खरीदें मैं तो छः महीने के लिए फस गया हूँ।

Best would be to use a 15-20k Android phone with 3599 Jio yearly recharge and tether to your PC/Laptop. You would have more reliable experience.
You can even get a powered USB-C hub with ethernet adapter for ethernet tethering and which also charges the phone. Or a cheap 5G router from AliExpress using forwarder service. There are plenty of options. But do check compatibility.

I would avoid AirFiber at all costs. The name AirFiber itself is a supreme scam.
 
Status Update (y)
After waiting for many hours, I finally decided to call Jio AirFiber customer care, and I told them my problem. Her name was Prachi, and she was very polite. 😳

She recommended changing the direction of the outdoor device and connecting it to another 5G tower. She checked into her system and told me that the current tower doesn't support 5G; hence, it needs to face toward the 5G tower. She has submitted a request, and a technician will be visiting my premises shortly to adjust the direction of the outdoor device.

I will let you guys know if this thing makes any difference.

Buy a used phone with usb 3.0 support, pair with usb 3.0 to ethernet and usb powered hub connect it to the router
