what do u think.???

i dont see a reason to not go for 12 cell batteries
- more backup time( rem power cuts in india)
- price difference is not much between 6 and 12 cells
- most important (at least for me), 12 cell battery lifts ur lappy from behind making space for more air flow resulting in better cooling. just think abt it, any good cooling pad wont cost you less than $20 and will do basically the same job. also it makes typing much much more comfortable.

^^ i got it from a friend who came to india in Jan. There are 28 sellers for that battery link you posted out of which 4 sellers ship to india.

ohh cool extention i must say, i use opera btw. i kinda hate firefox for its slow speeds.

well, i have opera and firefox both installed. like them both but the addons make me use firefox more.

guys my laptop battery has reduced its backup to mere 12-14 minutes now, how long can i use this battery???? i dont use laptop outside my house or office, its just for convenience of use with its size, and is used on my desk all the time and mostly plugged on ac power , however i used to discharge battery once a week to make battery life ok.

even if i have to buy immidiately , i checked Amazon site but found that battery price is ok for compatible batteries but shipping prices are even more than battery itself so it would come about minimum 3k landed here in india, and original battery would come to about 5-6 k from HP, i dont know wat to do pls suggest me a way out.

forgot to mention that i am worried that since there are frequent power cuts in my area , would the time come soon that when power fails and inverter starts in that interval will my laptop go off ??????

if that happens thats when actually i need to replace battery or should i replace it now????
