Hello! I'm trying to setup Huweii MT882 modem in windows vista basic edition(laptop) but I'm not able to... kindly help!

are you able to open http://192.168.1.1 ?? do you want a dialer to connect to the internet? or do you want internet to work as soon as you switch on your modem?

hi....please tell me the whole procedure.. i hv the CD n i tried loading modem n driver frm tht but at the end it gave an error related to os...the CD is bit old one...

XP USB driver of BSNL reportedly works in VISTA OS.

Do not connect the modem to USB port.
Download from cd ther usb driver. C:/usb Mt882
connect usb cable to computer
Restart computer.
Let Vista detect new hardware.
When driver file is asked for, select above location.

Hi! nothing s working.... I checked "device manager" the modem is listed there but it says it has no driver installed..i tried uninstalling it in order to install again but its not even getting installed... whenever i run the setup a windows says "reboot now" or " reboot later" thats it.. i have tried re booting but nothing changes...:madness: I dunt know what to do now.... i also wanted to know do you get BSNL connection through USB devce like there is tata's plug to surf device? What is it called and can i convert my unlimited plan wired broadband to this one or it has other plans? I dont think this modem is going to work with my lappy( (

Hi! I m connecting through my PC on which i m using this ,odem since long w/o any problem....
yes the modem is listed in the device manager list but has no driver as it says....
i tried loading the driver again but it just wont get loaded.... all it does is asks for restarting thats it....
Ethernet port...? I dont know which one is that...i used usb port....

check in your modem . Between the UsbPort and "reset"Use a RJ45 cable to connect to your Laptop's ethernet port.see earlier posts for modem details/quick user manual.
