I am having a peculiar problem since 3 days regarding BSNL BroadBand.I am not able to browse websites using their domain names..Eg: www.google.com does not work. Results in Timeout Error.BUT 204.xx.xx.xx (i dont remember exact IP) will display google.com website.Similarly, dataone.in will not open but the IP 10.xxx.xx.xx will open and i can check usage in it..I am using WinXP, Browsers: FireFox, IE, Opera, Safari.Connecting to BroadBand using MT882 ADSL Modem. Can Anyone help me in this regard.

I don't think BSNL's DNS servers won't be able to resolve dataone.inTry flushing your DNSGo to command prompt (DOS) and type "ipconfig /flushdns" without quotes.

Thanks for the Suggestions.. To essbebe:I had installed SP3 long back.. (Its integrated version).. It was working. But since past 3 days, there is such problem.I connect with single computer.Regarding Virus, no problem. Defs are updated and had run the scan.To amish and Sahyadri:I too thought it to be DNS error.. I tried to enable DNS Service and tried with enabling other related services in Management Console. But when the Connection was working, whenever I enabled DNS Service, I was not able to browse. So I had disabled it.OPEN DNS:I tried to add OPEN DNS Address to the Preferred and Alternate DNS. But still it did not get connected. I changed this in TCP/IP Settings.Should I try Changing the DNS Settings to OpenDNS addresses within the Modem CPE?I tried to connect to Net through Linux. I added DNS of BSNL and Open DNS also. I was able to Browse. when ever there is an error in typed URL, it took me to OpenDNS.. So I think that I am able to Browse due to OpenDNS.Please tell me whether I should Change DNS Settings in the Modem CPE?And, Is it SAFE to use 3rd party DNS Services? Can they capture Passwords or other sensitive information?

go to run and type cmd and press entercopy this into cmd ipconfig /flushdnsopen properties of your network adapter and enter 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 as DNS providers
