Last question: The interest is credited quarterly to your account like a normal FD/RD or does it work on compounded basis?

If it's credited, how does ICICI calculate the interest?

the interest is compounded on quarterly basis and paid out on maturity, every quarter the interest is added to your iwish deposit account and on maturity the entire matured sum is transferred to your account
