so, the upi id for bill payment is failing for me today. hard to tell why that could happen. i did get a new card this month but the number on both are same.

Solution
I have been facing this from May. So apparently the idiots at ICICI have changed the bill pay upi Id to ccpay.10digitPhoneNumberLast4Digit@icici but forgot to change it in the bills generated.

However do not take my word for it. Pay it manually, till they make the QR codes on their bills working again
hopefully they have not killed upi payment. it is still mentioned in their bill email and website though!

Nope. I even tried paying 100 rupee and it failed. Actual bill amount is in the same range as usual. Under 30K 🤡

earlier the format of the UPI ID was 1234123412341234@blah (card number) but my last payment (just scan the QR code in the bill attached to your email statement) had new format 123456780000@blah (like my mobile number + last 4 digits of CC) a few days ago which worked.

so try scanning the QR code in the bill and see if it works with that?

ccpay.10digitPhoneNumberLast4Digit@icici works. Just tested with Rs.1 payment. However, it could lead to issues when the last 4 digits of two cards numbers are the same. Happened in the past (for BBPS payment).
