Idea 3G in Mumbai started

now that idea has started sending sms alerts every time a 3g or 2G data session ends. I get 15 sms on my Nokia e5 in 30 mins.is there any way to stop it? Sms says you have so much data left. You used so much data in so much time and your last date is so that.earlier only 198 guys used to give the data left. that too most of the time link/systems of call centers used to be down.any help will be appreciated.. especially Nokia e5

I also see intermittently SMS pop up about data uses but it gives option to save or cancel that message in my android phone

Anyway idea rocks!!!!!I used reliance netconnect broadband plus for 2 yrs .it was clamiing speed upto 3.1 mbps.I was getting 0.5 mbps that time.I then used Bsnl 3g for 1 ye with 21 mbps hspa modem.I was getting 0.5,1-2 or sometime 3 mbps. Bsnl has recently reduced speed a lotBut when I shifted to idea firstly I seen 3-6 mbps speed.

Also speed does matter on ur modem or mobileWhether it is3.1 mpbs Or 3.6 mbps7.2 mbps. HSDPA21-28 mbps HSPA modem/mobile

any idea to stop getting the data usage summary after each session ends.its like receiving sms every 10 minutes.

Yes I am also using IDEA,But sorry don't have any IDEA of stopping such messages.

Right now I have Aircel 3G in my Android Nexus-s.Twitter,Gmail,yahoo mail etc is always on. Every five mins or so systems sends USSD message (not saved in SMS in box) 'you have consumed so much Kbps data etc.In BSNL too I used to get messages (in to my in box) for each session or in between.In Airtel 3G sim in data card,it sends only system promotional sms (voice +data pack's promotion.)Actual usage only when I send a USSD message.By the way my Nexus-S and wifey's Nexus -One just now upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.6.I have not checked what are the improvements.About Idea 3-G ,any intraductory offer in pre paid ?:adoration:

I am also using Idea GPRS, but I don't receive any message on my E-5 after internet usage. May be because I am on post-paid with 2 GB plan.

i think the reason is Postpaid for u!Coz i too have noticed - after every chargeable use i make of Idea number, it shows me a Notification. In S60 v 3, it comes as a notification. When i used to send bulk messages, i used to get notification for every message. And that implies that not only chargeable, but even free usage is notified!It gets annoying i agree, but even i was puzzled as to how do i stop this! Too much transparency also hurts u see!
