Hey folks.IDEA has launched 50 paise STD schemes here in Delhi.the details are as follows:Recharge with 298 RS and call STD @ 50 paise to any mobile/landlines in India for 30 days.orRecharge with 99RS and call STD@50 paise for 300 mins and 75 paise per min thereafter. Finally even STD rates are on par with local calls rates.:urock:

Paying Rs 99 or Rs 298 seems not beneficial if one is average user of STD. I am using Idea connection but this scheme does not suit me at all. Virgin and Reliance CDMA offering 50 Paise STD with initial 3 minutes and 1 minutes of STD call of Rs 1.50 respectively. However Rel CDMA requires Rs. 39 recharge.

Vodafone is MUCH cheaper if the calls are between METROs. Top up with Bonus 22, and call ANY number in any METRO in India at 50 ps/min for 30 days. I don't think there are a lot of cheaper alternatives available.

Even myself got a bonus card of rs55 in which we get rs 70min STD TT..cheaper than landlines..now they increased to 80mins TT...:frown:
but bonus card 22 offers free VF local mins no STD....:S

^ Just checked what you said. The card gives different top ups based on region. In mine, it says 50p STD to any number in Mumbai, Delhi/NCR and Kolkata.

IDEA cellular today announces the launch of its new offering of Local, STD calls and SMS at 50 paise to any mobile or landline network in India. To avail this offer, new pre-paid subscribers can avail the offer on any recharge vocher while the existing subscribers can recharge for a special tariff at Rs. 47 valid for 5 months.

This seems very good offer if no other conditions apply. Can somebody confirm the extension of this plan in Delhi....
