IDM disconnects?

I am having a strange problem of disconnection. Whenever i'm using IDM version 12 i get d/c from the internet. Normally if i dont use it and surf my speed is up and good. There some kind of a bug in Internet download manager?. To download a particular file i had to connect nearly 10 times as it starts downloading and then disconnects.Which download manager should i use?

assign IP address maually in TCP/IP in network properties.

To download a particular file
Do not download by clicking the link if you have problem.
Try opening in a new page. Then copy and paste the URL to IDM. ( fresh downloads menu )
FDM is free.
IDM is a trial version only. and after 30 days you may have to purchase /register the version.

I have IDM and it poses no problems to me.I dont use browser integration.When mozilla starts the download,i copy-paste the URLBTW use flashget.It is a good download manager
