using IDM to download youtube videos was really helpful to me since i didn't need to go to a random yt downloader to get my video ,i was thinking to maybe purchase the lifetime license but im worried since it says they would provide update only for 3 years and then i would need to take a subscription just for updates

so has anyone tried IDM lifetime license?

If you just want to download YouTube videos, then you can use "yt-dlp" (available on GitHub and open-source). It's CLI only but does not have a learning curve.
For download accelerator, FDM works fine as well.

okay i kinda find yt-dlp really hard to use since im not used to opening command prompt for this

i have idm yk crack version and it works fine for youtube for the first 10-15 days until suddenly it stops working for youtube but keeps working for other sites

and im tired of installing fishy apps like that hence i thought maybe i should just pay for the lifetime key

YouTube videos downloads breaks in IDM whenever YouTube makes any changes, and they do it quite often. So, if they make a change after three years, it will remain broken for you.

Yes that

Hence IDM keeps rolling updates to patch it up so it keeps working for YouTube

Plus YouTube downloaders have weird limits set which is very annoying

Not worth it. Kyun karna bhai when getting it elsewhere means. Also patch or not if yt changes anything then again both paid and crk versions nothing will work 🥀 Rather invest in a good antivirus providing total security for system
