287 porn sites are blocked by current Govt. office. If an adult people adult movie dekhta hai to isme bjp ka kya khujli hai? Kya Bjp sabko sadhu banana chahta hai? Agar koi adult ladka ya ladki adult movie dekhta bhi hai to isme sharm ki bhi kya baat hai yeh to normal hai bhai. Isme koi buri baat nehi hai. Shame on Bjp guardianship. It is time to change party because India dont need bad guardianship of BJP.

Impressive thing is that watching p in private remains legal in India. The ban is in the name of moral values. Nothing illegal going on.

no one controls internet .we can use VPN to access all site :) Or downland via torrents and i mean private torrent site. NO a$$ hole govt can ban that.

More bussiness for vpn

A former po_n star movies gets released and i am allowed to watch that bollywood movies but her porn i cann;t watch in my 4 walls lmao

At a meeting chaired by Telecom & IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and attended by top government officials in September, the "problem of porn" was discussed and the minister directed the departments of IT and telecom to work together to improve "blocking infrastructure" at the ISP level.

Prasad said although porn is legal in other countries, it needs to be viewed in the "context of Indian culture and moral obligation towards society".

Apparently countries where porn is legal have no cultural or moral values.

Government asks internet service companies to block pornography sites, upgrade systems - timesofindia-economictimes

"A solution may need to be worked out to prevent availability of pornography on the Internet considering the cultural sensitivities of the country," Arvind Gupta, head of BJP's information technology cell, conveyed to the committee, according to the minutes of the meeting reviewed by ET.

"Child pornography and pornography cannot be said in the same breath. The government has very firm legislation against it," said Vidya Reddy, director of Tulir-Centre for the Prevention and Healing of Child Sexual Abuse.

And of course... the pravachan minister of india.

Morons.

Anyway, this would be very temporary. Otherwise the likes of Airtel would see a dip in their profits/revenues ( as many won't opt of VPN). Even without anyone trying these would get unbanned. Telecom operator lobby would make sure everyone gets to see these :)

You are ignoring one simple fact here. Unlike Congress where these bans did not last for long... We have a government backed by RSS ideology. This is the government which is not ready to replace the likes of gajendra chauhan with a more suitable candidate for a rather ordinary position of the head of FTII. Even though the students are not happy with, the movie industry is not happy with it... This government does not give up. I do not expect them to give up now. They are already working on bringing 66a back. I expect further regulations on the internet in the coming years.
