not sure how it is in pune but gurgaon is full of cctvs everywhere so we are living in a surveillance state already around here.

And what about central Delhi? There are atleast 8-10 cameras on a single stretch of road

Plenty of CCTVs here too and in Mumbai...ostensibly to catch and penalise traffic offenders. Of course they can be put to other uses as well. So far as online activities are concerned we had ISPs and telecom Cos. monitoring us and but now asking VPNs to do it is a little rich.

Looks like certain payment gateways are being forced by the government to ask for these details.

Still strange. I don't have to enter pan on razorpay or other desi payment gateways while shopping on local stores.

Does Razorpay work on international sites? lol. This is all so that people can't do criminal activities on Dropbox.
