How does instagram suggest new users to follow?
Case in point: I called up a customer day before yesterday for the first time and saved his number to my address book after the call. Saved only his number manually, no email, nothing else.
And since yesterday, instagram is suggesting his profile to follow. Another point to note is that Instagram's does not have access to my contacts and phone. How did it come to know then? I find it fishy.

Is it just me or the Instagram app for android is really crappy? And it works flawlessly on iPhones.

Just noticed again that the videos published by iPhones are SO MUCH better compared to everything that becomes potato quality when posting from android phones. Will this ever change?

I read the reason behind this in one of the articles. iPhones only have 2-3 variants (screen sizes). Therefore developers do not have to adjust for multiple screen sizes (like in Android) and therefore their apps have direct camera feed access. So photos and videos they get are always in full resolution.
I don't think this ever going to change for Android.
