Hi ,
I know that some banks levy forex markup ( 2-3% + gst) on international transactions done on their debit/credit card but whats not clear is that if they apply Card Network ( Visa , Mastercard etc) rates or some other rates i.e Interbank transfer rates ( which are quite poor compared to Visa rates) ?

No response guys ?
Anybody here haven't done any international transaction yet ?

@AAK If you are doing Payment through VISA, Mastercard Debit/Credit Card you usually pay Mark-UP Fee 2% + GST. Usually, If you use Cards, It'll consider Card Network Rates but If you do transfer from Bank to Bank. It'll proceed different charges depend upon the bank and other rates (i.e. Flat Fee & SWIFT Fees)

@Protector
Do you have any experience with card transactions of specific banks which makes currency conversion on Network rates ?

For International transactions, I've been using Paypal. It automatically converts INR to Euro/Dollar etc. whatever required by the store easily.

Although Paypal takes around 2% - 3% Tax but it's better than normal banks charges.

I've used HDFC & PNB Visa Cards. Although HDFC Card is better for International transaction as it is support at maximum areas but PNB is also supported at maximum website now-a-days.

Reference of the sites i usually do International Transaction :
1. Github Pro
2. Wizard 101

and few more games subscription done in Euro transactions.
