Hi,I have BSNL Home 500C plan (which gives 1.5GB data transfer and unlimited data between 2AM to 8AM). Is there a software or tool that will automatically start my connection at 2:01 AM and close down the connection at 7:59AM ? I remember seeing such a tool on this forum but can't seem to find it again.Right now the PC is connected to modem via a router.thanks.

I have siemens c2110 modem.
But I don't want to shut off the modem. I have a VOIP phone connected to the router as well which I don't want to turn off. I just want to turn off my PC, or internet connection on my PC. I still want to keep my modem connected.

Use TOff to turn off your CPU at particular time.Use WakeUpOnStandby to switch on your comp.it can wake up from hibernation too..just set your wake up time in that utility it take care of every thing.you can add applications to start at the start up too..
In TOff set your Hibernation time as 7:55 AM
In WakeUpOnStandby set your wakeup time as 2:00 AM
