iPad Mini : My Personal Review and Unboxing

After Using my Apple's iPad Mini for almost 10 days now I am quite ready to given My Unboxing and Personal Review on iPad Mini.

Configurations :

Model : iPad Mini WiFi
Memory : 16 GB
RAM : 512
CPU : Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9
Camera : 5 MP
Price : Rs 21900

Till now i have been using Nokia, Blackberry and Android Products. This is my 1st apple product, so it took quite some time to understand the OS. In Nokia, Blackberry and Android, I never felt to refer any manual but in case of iPad Mini, i had to take help of online manuals to learn syncing of Audio/Video and applications.

Before I go further, here are some of the Pics of Unboxing of mine Apple's iPad Mini.

My Personal brief Review of iPad Mini

Hardware : Very classy, shiny and quite attractive. I saw many tablets before purchasing iPad Mini and i must say iPad Mini design and built is best among all including Samsung Tablets.

Display : Its same like any iPhone and being 7.9" screen , its handy as well as large enough to surf, play games and do other online works.

Operating System : Immediately after I connected iPad Mini to iTunes, it got updated to iOS 6.0.2. Its undoubtedly fast and smooth than Android.

App Store : App Store is full of Apps and Games but most the games which I have for free on Android are chargable. Some of the Apps which are specially built for iPad are awesome like Facebook, Accuweather, Tapatalk HD, Flipboard. (Will post their screens later on.)

Battery : As claimed by Apple, it is giving 8-9 hours of battery Backup while playing games or surfing net on Wifi.

So, I feel that I made a good choice by purchasing iPad Mini over Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

Thanks for Reading this. If you guys like this, I will post more :D

A friend who have bought iPhone 5 broke it's data cable due to his carelessness. When he went to buy a new one thinking it would costs max 500 bucks, he was shocked to hear it costs 1.5k.So do take good care of the cable

Welcome to dark side. But I was thinking of dumping 4S and getting myself Note2. I don't like to carry iPad3 everywhere for browsing. A phablet would suit me more. I could have got mini if it would have been released earlier.

Even the Non Apple Branded Air Case cost me Rs 2000 and Screen Guard Rs 1000. So, Apple accessories still remain costly inspite of reasonable rate of iPad Mini.

Very nice and to-the-point review.

I'm waiting for the iPad 2013.

iPad 2013 will have a better Display than the current one. So, its better to wait now.

Since you are new to the iOS environement, let me recommend TweetBot (for Twitter) and Alien Blue (for Reddit). The former is paid while the latter has an ad-free free version as well. Both are the best apps for Twitter and Reddit respectively and are better than any app out there on any other platform. Also try out Flipboard, Pulse News, Evernote etc (all free)

That's nice of you bro. I am really finding it tough to search some good and useful apps. Please share some more Utility apps.I was using Flipboard actively on Android, so installed it as soon as my Store ID was configured. :)

I am not much into Apps but will suggest checking out the Top 10 apps lists of Imore, Macrumors and 9to5mac. On my phone I have Stick Cricket (free with an option of in-app purchase to unlock the World Cup), Stick Cricket Super Sixes (paid), Stick Tennis (partially free), Real Racing 2 (paid but by far the best racing game for mobile phones), Cut the Rope (free and paid both available), Angry Birds (free and paid both available - and it doesn't lag on iOS), Temple Run (free), Pocket (free), Feedler RSS (free and paid both available), NDTV, Skype, Dropbox, Cricbuzz, WhatsApp etcAlso, create a free id on the US store and use it to download free apps not available on the Indian store like Pandora Radio.
