Iphone 4 COULD NOT ACTIVATE CELLULAR DATA NETWORK

I recently brought back an iPhone 4 from the US and using the gevey sim, unlocked it so i can use it on my postpaid BSNL connection. While i can make calls, send sms etc, i cannot access any internet, cannot use weather app or google maps for that matter.It keeps saying COULD NOT ACTIVATE CELLULAR DATA NETWORK- YOU ARE NOT SUBSCRIBED TO A CELLULAR DATA SERVICE. But i am already on an unlimited postpaid data connection. Can anyone tell me whats going on? I tried different APN settings, i.e www.e.pr and www.e.pobut neither works, the E for edge symbol comes on briefly, but still no data access.I am on IOS 4.1 baseband 02.10.04Has anyone faced this issue? If so, whats the solution? Please help me out.

well, APN for BSNL is BSNLNET. try this, it should work
