IPv6 being issued by BSNL Broadband!

A good news to all i had issues due to ipv6 deployment and the technician changed it to ipv4.
And yeah I'm connected to palakkad bsnl. Now the speed and ping issues are fine. From my experience the technician told me, the bsnl office is implementing ipv6 but people are reporting problem like I faced. While watching Netflix.
Google and yt and other p2p servers seemed fine in ipv6.

So the best thing is bsnl is advancing fast, but the bad thing is severs are not ipv6 still. So for now ipv4 is the best bet for us right now.

@Ameen , Ive also been having problems with Netflix streaming, mainly since last 2-3 months. Sometimes it drops from 4k to hd. Very seldom to 720p, when it becomes noticeably bad. Testing netflix (using its app's test network option) shows only 30 mbps. It was earlier close to 100. Perhaps you could check this option also.

The same device, using same network is able to steam Amazon prime at 4k.

Nope I showed him ping issues to Airtel mumbai and Jio servers.
It was around 200+
So iam sure its due ipv6 deployment.

@eriek_halenx for now the Netflix issue is solved. When I fall back to ipv4 from ipv6 and he reduced packet size. (don't ask me what that is )

I am from kerala and i am still in the ipv4 address. How was the overall experience from switching to ipv6? Can we expect any notable latency improvements to sites like google, netflix, Amazon etc?

@philip if you are having no issues right now i think you should probably stay on ipv4.
Latency was increased during the usage of ipv6.
I am not sure and I have no knowledge to comment on it, since I think the problem was fixed when he reduced mtu size. (so the problem could be due to. Either or both of them)

I can roll back to ipv6 very easily if I want to do so. Its just changing few setting. Ipv6 is still there in my router and on the bsnl side too it's going anywhere. Its being implemented throughout, (as told by the bsnl technician) he also did say that palakkad had some advanced equipments (I have no knowledge if that's true)
Ipv6 address is still being recognized in my connection. When I check network properties in laptop.

I'm bridging using a router starting next month. So i might check on ipv6 then and check if it's working smoothly.
Will report the status then.

@Ameen, very rarely. I watched the witcher last week. Then it was an issue. Someone was watching our planet today evening. It was fine and as expected @4k hdr.

BSNL is excellent in kerala circle be it in the case of 3g speeds or FTTH. I am yet to face a downtime or speed drop with their FTTH since 1 year of taking it
