I have ipv6. But my mobile wifi connection is disconnecting frequently. If i select ipv4 only, then no issue.

I'm from Thiruvananthapuram.

@Ameen , Ive also been having problems with Netflix streaming, mainly since last 2-3 months. Sometimes it drops from 4k to hd. Very seldom to 720p, when it becomes noticeably bad. Testing netflix (using its app's test network option) shows only 30 mbps. It was earlier close to 100. Perhaps you could check this option also.

The same device, using same network is able to steam Amazon prime at 4k.
CHANGE THE MTU VALUE FROM 1492 to 1460. then netflix will work like charm

Is ipv6 being enabled for all new bsnl broadband customers as I can see they started enabling ipv6 for than 1 year now. Can someone please update. I can see most of the experts here have deep access to bsnl internal resources.

@shashankb have you tried with a different ONU/Router
I am currently in chennai. When I tried with a bsnl provided ONU, I don't see any option to enable ipv6 etc.. Infact nothing could be configured in that..
I had an Tata Sky onu with me. I tried to configure the settings in that.. After some effort, I was successful in getting the connection and to my very surprise I see IPV6 enabled.. I swear I got it..
But.. But.. I got greedy and tried a little more.. First with ipv6 only.. Then it stopped.. I again tried with ipv4/ipv6 then again I am getting only ipv4 and there was no going back. I tried lot of things like mtu. SLAAC, DHCP nd etc. But no luck.
Can you experts please advice what could have gone wrong and how to get ipv6 back.

I am having ipv6 since last few months. Working perfectly fine. Infact when I check over my router logs (Asus RT-66UB1) I see majority of traffic from many of my devices are over ipv6.

Way to go BSNL !!

@Raptorx which city are you located. Was ipv6 enabled by default or did you have to fiddle with the settings on ont/router for that. Can you please share your experience.

I haven't heard anyone reporting ipv6 working in chennai. But still it worked but only once when I configured a new one device from Tata Sky.

@rahravee I am from Trivandrum Rural area. I got the connection via LCO. ONT given by LCO was a Netlink one without IPV6 and VOIP. So I bought a Huawei HG8120C and when I configured new WAN Profile I set the mode as IPV4/IPV6 although nowadays I am using it in bridged mode.

At my wife's place, still IPV6 is not available( A different district). So I guess, its being rolled out gradually.
