Guys does anyone know how to get ipv6 on a bridged router? My HuaweiONT gets ipv6 just fine but my bridged TP-LinkAX10 gets only ipv4.
Please post screenshots if it is working for you, as I think this is a firmware problem with TP-Link.
@GR2 Thanks, i've seen it working on pfsense and openwrt as such.. I think it is mostly a firmware problem on TP-Link. Only people with routers from other brands and TP-Link can tell though what it is.
@Aashish.007 go to your router's LAN settings and check if IPv6 is enabled if not do so. Then set it to track interface i.e. to WAN.
If there is a setting for router advertisements (RA) set it to Assisted or SLAAC. This works beautifully on pfSense and OPNSense. I have several posts on this topic in the Tata Sky broadband section of the forum. Check them out. Routers like TP-Link and its ilk provide fewer config options compared to AsusNetgear and others.
Yes I already have RA enabled and use ipv6 on Lan but don't get assigned a public v6 address. I have also been in contact with TP-Link about this and they said that they will send me a custom firmware after testing..only God know when.
