IRCTC News & Updates

I still fail to understand why wallet is not allowed during tatkal hours.

Looks like its better than Credit Cards..

I have always done Netbanking, but I think for low cost small distance tickets, are credit cards cheaper?

yup. credit card usually charge 2.5% i think but i think it largely depends upon individual deals. no wonder so many stores now offer wallets as preferred payment options.

Same link says 1.8%. Hence saw that & was doing general math & was thinking 1000 rupee ticket, would result Rs.18 in charge, whereas Rs.500 would result in Rs.9 which is cheaper than netbanking Rs.10 I usually pay.

In fact, it might make sense now to load wallet using credit card before booking ticket (unless you are in a hurry), if you were planning to use card directly.

Oh when you use credit/debit card? They dont charge 10Rs??

I mean IRCTC 10Rs + Bank/Card 10Rs?
