Is BSNL working properly ?

Off lately , i am getting many problems with BSNL . particularly after they implemented this DNS hacking > Motive Page redirect thing.

Now very often my browser are not able to resolve a page , giving out errors.
I tried using other DNS options , still the problem is same.
On torrents , the speed is ok , but still a bit reduced , I am on 750 UL plan.

Is there a way to tell where the problem lies , I tried tracrt command to see if there any timeouts .. but nothing that sort.

Any help guys ?

i tried changing , but on reboot , it selects all the modulation..

Are you un-checking every other modulation modes except G.dmt before rebooting the modem?

tested again for packet loss / jitter

also what values are we expecting at SNR ?

Great! Now check if you're still having the same issues.

Your SNR values look very well - it was supposed to drop from what you had in ADSL2+ mode

ADSL2+, even though is supposed to handle high bandwidth [24 Mbit DN/ 1.4 Mbit UP] but is also very unstable - so what might have happened is that there could be sudden disruptions in connectivity which you may not even notice...so even though the Link/ADSL light on the modem will stay lit, but the pages would fail to resolve just the point the connection breaks....it's again reconnected within a few seconds.

G.dmt is far more stable than ADSL2+

So if my assumption is right, then changing over to G.dmt should resolve your issue

Let us know how it goes
