Yesterday onwards my upload speed is back set to 256Kbps
https://www.speedtest.net

I thought it will at least last for 3 months from 1st April.......:curse:
For all the plans Upload speed will be 512 Kbps( w.e.f. 01/04/2011 to 29/06/2011).
its still may MTNL.......:angry (2):

I am not getting 512kbps from like 15days or so..just geting 256 or less ... but i havent bothered to complain.

Still getting upload speed of 0.43 Mbps. But MTNL reduced my upload sync from 1 mbps to 512 kbps.If your Modem sync speed is higher than plan speed, you get exact as specified by your Triband plan. Not 80% but full 100% or even slightly more.

I am unable to login into my Modem page @ http://192.168.1.1/ for last few weeks.
When it ask for password....as usual I give the default password, as I have never changed it. But still it doesn't enter. I have recently installed new OS.....so is it possible thats the reason?
Can anyone tell me what exactly will happen if I use the modem "reset" button??? will that solve my problem or should I call 1504??

You are lucky.
Which area are you from? Today I am getting a frequent disconnection with all the problem mentioned above and first post. I am from Sakinaka.

Yep because earlier speed was controlled by DSL port which included PPPoE overhead in counting too.

Now its controlled by software which does not count PPPoE overhead (but just PPP traffic), hence you get slightly better speed.

Frequent disconnects are due to the noise in the line and / or a faulty filter...

If your connection drops when you pick up the phone to make a call or when the phone rings, it means a dodgy filter...

Check your stats on the router and also are you running the modem on an extension or to the main socket?
