Is there a substitute for Huawei and other Chinese ONT's and Routers?

For example, I have a Huawei HG8646m currently handling my BSNL FTTH.
Suppose it breaks down.
What product do I replace it with?
 
The one BSNL gave you, that's how it's supposed to work.
My bad, that one is Made in China. Get 5Gi instead.
 
A reliable co but again chinese. Well even Nokia modem too is nokia shanghai bell co actually.
 
Not every ONT works with your provider`s backend OLT or they do not want to try provisioning it . You are already limited/narrowed down by a few options
 
Hopefully soon we should be getting good home made in India devices thanks to the gormint PLI (production linked incentive) schemes in telecom manufacturing sector.

At the same also wonder why none of our Big Business Houses have yet considered tapping this potentially lucrative market...
