check ouut ma speeds below..... this is what you should be getting....

Goto 192.168.1.1.... i.e. basically your router.....log into it....and paste the DSL speed that gets displayed..... something like this
DSL Speed: 260/2045kbps

hi,
This is the speed i am getting at 9 pm IST. Is this good enough

is this good enough, i don't think so.

when i log in the D-Link modem i see the below dsl speed
511/1014kbps

is this okay

@fxthomas improved. Lots of problems in Internet due to submarine cable cuts.
Stay put at these settings for a week and wait for normal condition.
At least another 50% improvement possible, I hope.SL Speed: 260/2045kbps

The DSL speeds shown on the router page displays the UL / DL limits on your line..... So technically you are on a 1 mbps line as of now and this i dont believe is due to the cable cut problem..... for i consistently get the 256 / 2046 kbps range even when the problem existed ( the speeds never matched thought :):) )....

As for the speed test results displayed in Post No 1 that may be because of congestion or a host of other reasons....

try doing a speed test anytime from 6 - 9 in the morning for best results and post the results....Though i am sure you would get the same results as your last speed test...

The CC guys will give you the same congestion reason for sure.... So for now wait for like 10 days till this problem gets sorted out before making a complaint.....

Speed test done at 10:45 today

Its monthly.....
Total usage is the total usage till now.... -> Frankly speaking don't know why it is required
Monthly Balance Usage -> Actual Balance Available
Current Month Usage -> What you have used this month

You get billed according to the last two parameters...
