My charged usage yesterday was showing 420 MBToday its around 525 MBso, its charged.

any network meter like DU meter wilkl show that approx
1MB may be Downloaded for every 100MB uploaded.
However if you want to upload via a Torrent client, the Torrent client will upload 100MB but AT THE SAME TIME MAY DL ALMOST 50MB
so try Upload via FTP or HTTP, coz then DL MB's will be very,very low.
And the UL is always free

I was going to make a new thread glad i found this one.
I have 2 DSL 849 NU accounts old one(without @a) and other new with @a.
What I have observed is,
Uploads are not counted and free for users without suffix @a in username.
Uploads are counted for Triband users with suffix @a in username. I guess they are charged too.
Now I have a situation, this is what my web self care page says about new @a no.
Chargeable Usage Summary

Usage Type Volume - MB
Total Usage Units 34,767.16
Charged Usage Units 14,323.20
Zero-Charged Usage Units 20,443.96
That means my billable amount for June 08 is about Rs 14,323 /- ! :ashamed:
Now if I upload around 2 GB a day then my my old connection shows 50 MB as data used.
While if I upload SAME data next day on new connection (@a) it shows Accounted Volume(MB) - 2050 MB and Accounted Cost(INR)- 2050 !! So all my uploads are counted as used volume(and not 2-3%). I have verified this.
I am quite shocked.
I called 1504 and 1662 (supposed to be billing dept but it connects to 1500). The MTNL Aunty told me that she didnt understand my complicated technical jargon about UPLOADS!!
I have filed online complaint.
How can one prove to MTNL that the said used Volume was mostly UPLOAD?
Can anyone (@a users) please tell me if they have been charged for ALL uploads??

Dude, i just took up MTNL last month.Did not upload anything in the last month.This month, my uploads are counted.
I just wanted to chime in to say that my uploads haven't been counted this month. I have uploaded 2GB+ during daytime, and apart from the residual downloads while uploading, nothing else has been counted. Note that I do not have those fancy @ thingy.
Off course upload is counted.
But its not charged.
In case of MTNL if it is counted then its NOT free.

In fact its rather annoying that MTNL has double standards , free uploads for old connections and charging uploads for new users on alcatel server.

Surprising! MTNL claims that uploads are free in their tariff page (I cannot verify it right now... MTNL's website is down when I posted this message... Jai Ho MTNL!!!) But the last time I saw the tariff page, I remember seeing the "uploads free" message in the screen.
