Isn't TATA Indicom Broadband expensive than others?

Hi Guys,I am using TATA Communications' broadband internet (128kbps Unlimited Postpaid package). I compared it with reliance and airtel broadband in my city and it seems that at the price of 128 with TATA, others are giving 256kbps! I am using it at Rs. 786 (128kbps unlimited every month). Is there anyone who gets it at that price or cheaper than that in your city?

For Unlimited plans price of TI is definitly on the upper side. But they do have some time-based plans which are worthy.

Email them and tell them the same thing and ask them why shouldn't I switch to airtel which is cheaper and better...few emails like those should surely make them revise the connection. I remember when I had spectranet I was paying 3300 for 64Kbps Shared line after sometime I called them saying im switiching to other isp and they reduced rates to 2000. TATA is giving 128kbs unlm @ 500 to few customers under some residential plan, one of my friend has got it. They dont want to lose customers so they offer them tricky cheap hiden plans and they dont want to lose money either so they dont change the rates on website, after all not everybody complaints.

its more cheaper here with tata indicom wireline64 kbps UL --- 350 rs128 kbps UL ---- 490 rs256 kbps --- 700 rsthis were for new users signing in, for pune city.

Hell man, wish you guys had posted this 2 days ago.....jus renewed 128 kbps UL at the rate of Rs 843 per month for a month.I have been fooled royally.

I send them an email as well, included the url to airtel tariff page so they know im telling them facts and not talking in air. I am sure few more like these will make them consider...if not i'll switch to other isp because their services are not worth the money we pay!

i dont think it works that way. do u think they DO NOT know abt Airtel, MTNL tariff? they check competitors tariff first.btw at dark_horizon, u shud have done homework first

well, TATA is just surviving only bcoz of a handful of royal customers....so, they will do anything to retain their old customers..call em and say u r gonna switch to Airtel and am 100 percent sure that they wud bring the charges down to 600 or something close to it...anyways, 128 UL at 750Rs from TATA is not worth when Airtel is providing 256 UL for 799 bucks...
